Summary:
The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, executing and optimizing consumer focused (B2C) email, app push and on-site initiatives in support of the company’s goals related to customer acquisition, retention, list growth and conversion. This position will manage the overall performance and effectiveness of the promotional email marketing program by initiating campaigns, analyzing campaign data, making recommendations to stakeholders and planning next steps to improve results.
The Email Marketing Manager is accountable for driving revenue and achieving Return on Investment (ROI), site traffic, and contribution targets, as well as managing the overall health and growth of the email database.
Responsibilities
• Manage the promotional email marketing program, vision and strategy, to contact the right person at the right time with the right message in an omnichannel environment to accomplish goals related to new customer acquisition and existing customer growth and retention.
• Collaborate with marketing, creative and merchandising teams to develop, execute and optimize marketing campaigns that drive users to engage with various content resulting in in-store and online sales and conversion.
• Analyze, optimize and report on campaigns through A/B and multivariate testing, subject line testing, domain-level testing, list segmentation, life-cycle management, personalization, dynamic content, creative optimization, etc., focusing on deliverability, open rate, click-through rate, conversion and list growth.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors including the email service provider (ESP) to ensure all agreed-to professional services are being provided and identify opportunities for further collaboration and optimization.
• Coordinate efforts within and across teams to meet promotional goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
• Monitor team performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and providing feedback with performance reviews.
• Be a subject matter expert and provide best-in-class service to stakeholders throughout the organization.
• Manage and oversee daily email operations, ensuring timely and accurate campaign setup and deployment.
• Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.

Requirements
• 3-5+ years of experience in managing email campaigns in D2C/ecommerce
• 3+ years working with enterprise-level ESPs
• Familiarity with email segmentation
• Knowledge in regulatory compliance including but not limited to CAN-SPAM and CCPA
• Innovative, analytical and critical thinker who can speak to data and metrics to measure performance
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders while articulating requirements and requests
• Strong project management and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict and aggressive deadlines
