A long-standing and reputable machine shop in Owensboro is searching for a machinist that is capable of set-up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce/fabricate precision parts and instruments.  We fabricate and modify parts parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Experience Required:
Minimum of one year experience with manual lathes, mills, grinders and a mechanical background is a plus.
Proven experience as a machinist is preferred.
The ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items.
Duties:
As stated in opening paragraph along with reviewing samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output.
Determine and program size of batches, speed of machine, etc.
Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages.
Pay:
$45,000 per year to start, we will consider experience level.
Schedule:
Monday thru Thursday 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.  Friday is 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
