Controller - NetSuite - Tampa, Florida
Regional service franchisor on the cusp of national expansion seeks Controller to join our management team. This is an excellent opportunity to continue your growth in accounting systems development and offers a direct path to a senior leadership position. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player, have strong analytical skills and an astute understanding of complex business processes, work well independently, thrive under pressure, and be goal oriented. Position reports directly to the President.
The Controller is responsible for maintaining and developing the company's NetSuite ERP system, producing financial reports/budgets/projections, maintaining accurate supporting schedules and documentation, and working closely with outside professionals including audit/tax and software integrators/developers. To succeed the applicant must have extraordinary Excel skills, NetSuite experience (either Administrator or Developer), and a strong desire to automate financial transactions and processes.
This position requires the ability to work from a home-office.
Job Duties:
• Produce financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Assist with annual outside audit & tax prep
• Manage accounting personnel
• Manage payroll
• Interface with Client Services on all billing/collections
• Support all departments interface with ERP and ancillary system use/development
• Produce and maintain budgets and projections
• Present results of operations to senior management and company personnel
• Oversee multi-state tax filings
• Provide financial reports to franchise units
• Compile franchise data
• Use Slack, ClickUp, and similar collaboration tools to communicate with team members and other branch staff
