Job Summary
Aileron Investment Management, LLC and its related companies are primarily a real estate development and investment company, focusing primarily on the development of single-tenant real estate projects.
Processing of contractor draws and submitting construction loan draws is a primary function of this position. This includes tracking of Notices to Owner and lien waivers and assembling close-out books for each job.
The Accounting Manager for will be the primary person responsible for financial reporting, cash management, payroll, payable and receivable functions for the companies, but will have the support of management.
The position will fulfill all accounting functions including bank reconciliation, Accounts Receivable,
Accounts Payable, production of monthly financial statements for multiple companies, filing sales tax, payroll tax, tangible tax and intangible tax returns, providing information for income tax returns and producing financial statements on a monthly basis.
This position has both administrative duties and the opportunity to affect the operations of the company.
Growth potential exists within the company and with common ownership companies managed in the same facility.
Reports to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities and Duties
 Processing construction draws received from contractors building real estate projects. This includes: o Tracking Notices to Owner o Confirming receipt of conditional and unconditional lien waivers prior to processing payments o Tracking insurance certificates of contractors
 Processing accounts payable, including providing a periodic summary of payable and projections of future payables
 Producing monthly a financial statement package for multiple companies along with a consolidated financial statement
 Assist in setting accounting policies and documenting and following accounting procedures with the goal of improving efficiency
 Bank reconciliations
 Assist in preparing annual budgets for operating companies
 Prepare payroll
 Assist with Human Resources duties as it relates to tracking paid time off and dealing with employee benefit contractors.
 Maintain orderly financial filing system
 Reconcile department accounts monthly and prepare reports to present to management
 Ensure receipt of W-9’s from vendors and production of 1099’s after year end
 Research and prepare ad-hoc reports for management requests
 High degree of interaction with management of the organization
 Communicating with tenants regarding payments and preparing reconciliation of costs for common area maintenance, real estate taxes and insurance at year end.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
 B.S. Degree in accounting preferred
 Prior experience with construction draws with a developer or contractor required
 5 years experience
 Relevant Experience Will Be Considered
 Experience with multiple companies is necessary
 High Attention to Detail and Accuracy
 Deadline-Oriented
 Positive Attitude / Initiative / Self Starter
 Ability to Direct and Supervise
 Confidentiality – extremely important
 Strong Verbal Communication is necessary
 Must Submit to a Background Check and Drug Screening
Skills
 5+ years of overall combined strong experience in accounting operations and financial reporting including construction draws
 Strong skills with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programs required
 Thorough knowledge of multi-company, related entity accounting

This is a small office environment, with several people working from remote offices. We have endeavored to provide ample space between workstations. Management may from time to time dictate that working from home is necessary but we feel strongly that the benefits of being in an office environment are substantial to the company.
