Job Description
This position is the go-to resource for all people-related issues at the firm and must be passionate about putting people first.  This hands-on role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the human resources experience in a fast-paced, family-friendly culture.  This is a dual role that also manages the office building and daily facilities tasks to ensure operational efficiencies and cost effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
HR Management (50%)
· Promote the firm’s values and shape a positive culture through team-building initiatives and employee engagement programs
· Develop, implement, and manage full life-cycle HR processes, such as recruiting, hiring, on-boarding, performance management, training and development, and off-boarding
· Train, counsel, coach, and engage with the staff in partnership with management
· Create job descriptions and career paths that support staff development plans
· Provide decision-making support to management using HR data and metrics
· Maintain company policies and employee records in compliance with record-keeping requirements
· Handle employee relations issues, complaints, and conduct investigations, making recommendations on corrective action plans
· Work directly with third party broker to administer company-provided benefits and 401(k) retirement plans
· Draft and distribute internal employee communications and organizational announcements in partnership with management

· Bachelor’s degree in related field or commensurate experience required
· 5+ years of relevant HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, service-oriented work environment required
· Prior work experience in a law firm is a MUST
· Demonstrated leadership qualities with ability to positively influence others
· Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
· Proactive self-starter that takes initiative with ability to work independently
· Must be personable with excellent customer service, communication and listening skills
· Detail-oriented and organized with follow up skills
· Strong sense of personal accountability, responsibility, and ownership
· Capable of working efficiently and savvy with technology
· Agile and highly flexible to support a demanding industry
· Must be able to work in the office during normal business hours
