Full Job Description
Position is responsible for handling the plasmapheresis process, from prepping the donor through plasma collection and managing donor reactions in an Automated Source Plasma Center, 5 day work week, (open 7 days), 40-45 hours/week. We accept donors Mon-Thurs 7am-7pm, Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 7am-4pm, and Sunday 1230pm-530pm.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Performing all responsibilities required by the Phlebotomist
• Performing the morning controls, maintaining the daily checks and maintenance of the plasma collection equipment
• Preparing donor's arm, performing the venipuncture and monitoring the collection equipment and the donor throughout the collection process until the donor is disconnected
• Collecting samples, as required
• Managing donor reactions percompany procedures and under the direction of the Center Physician or Physician Substitute
• Monitoring softgoods lot number usage and changes
Job requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, required. *Must have good interpersonal and communication skills. *Prior experience in a medical field preferred, but not required. *Experience working with the community/public/ *Job is performed standing 95% of the time. *Moderate lifting 0 to 35 pounds. * if interested and qualified, submit resume and salary history
