Network Systems Administrator
Tampa, FL
Health Axis Group, a leader in healthcare technology, is searching for a Network Systems Administrator
to join our IT team here in Tampa, FL . The Network Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, planning, operation, security, and day to day management of the organization's org-wide network, servers, switches, network connected devices.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Establish and configure networks for organization-wide use
• Determines the organization’s data management and information technology needs and decides how to set up the network and provide users and the organization as a whole with constant access to servers and data storage sites
• Determines areas of the IT infrastructure that need particular attention or expertise, works with other system network administrators to resolve user-side issues
• Maintains reliable system performance through active monitoring of error logs and user-reported server and/or network issues
• Conducts regular tests to ensure that the system meets expectations for speed, security, and reliability
• Work with technicians and administrators to conduct routine system audits, making recommendations to improve reliability and performance
• Develops and deploys performance-enhancing measures throughout the network
• Works with team members to design and oversee server-side elements of an organization’s network infrastructure. This can include installing network-wide malware protection software, developing firewalls, and configuring databases and access on the back end
• Makes decisions regarding network/systems upgrades and repairs
Customer Service:
• Responsible for driving the HXG culture through values and customer service standards.
• Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal contacts.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships through effective and timely communication.
• Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner
Experience and Education:
• 3 – 5 years of experience installing, configuring, and managing infrastructure, hardware and software systems
• Experienced at configuring software and hardware including servers, networks, and operating systems
• Possess advanced skills in designing workflow and network diagrams along with technical manuals with a firm grasp of best practices and procedures to ensure that organization data is protected from intrusion or corruption
• Working knowledge of systems architecture, analysis, design, security methodologies, software installations, and trouble-shooting techniques
• Highly experience configuring and managing software and hardware related to LANs and WANs
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability
• Ability to lead without authority and motivate teams to achieve tactical and strategic goals. This is a highly responsible position that requires both quantitative and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated project management, organization and facilitation skills.
• High level of personal integrity, and the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exude the appropriate level of judgment and maturity.
Preferred Licensing/Certifications:
Certifications desired: CCNA, CCNP, Network+ Certification or A+
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
