Procurement Manager – Job Description
Seeking an experienced Global Procurement Manager to join our fast-growing business. This person will be responsible for end-to-end procurement across a variety of products. They will be expected to execute and ensure best in class product and materials sourcing processes and strategies in order to exceed our product brand standards. This role requires expertise in developing new relationships, sourcing products and materials, overseeing supply chain, and problem solving supply challenges with a wide variety international and domestic manufacturers and distributors.
This role will partner closely with senior internal stakeholders to drive a consistent approach towards all purchasing and sourcing activities including building new manufacturer/distributor relationships, strategic sourcing, negotiations, contract management, process and system improvement, resource planning, and customer service & training.
This role is unique in that it does not focus specifically on one category of procurement, but rather is responsible for facilitating excellent procurement across all categories.

Outcomes
• Develop reliable and efficient/cost-effective procurement strategies.
• Work to find new manufacturers/distributors to source new products and to establish back up sourcing.
• Negotiate reliable supplier and vendor relationships.
• Work with other departments to maintain efficient reordering tracking and forecasting as needed.
• Control the procurement budget and promote a balance between rapid problem solving/acquisition and long-term cost savings.
• Focus on partnerships with our external contacts and customers; our vendor partners and manufacturers, to improve our supply chain and improve our terms where possible.
• Establish processes and relationships with Sales/Marketing and Product teams to ensure product availability for new launches and ongoing sales plans.
• Communicate with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production/distribution.
• Responsible for developing strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of the global procurement organization.
• Establish and oversee logistics plan to optimize delivery time and cost.
• Work with our internal team to improve inventory management best practices.
• Create and prepare procurement reports as needed.
• Setting team goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with the company's plans and vision.
• Create, review, and implement policies and procedures related to the procurement department.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Preferred Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business.
• 5 Years plus proven experience in Supply Chain or Procurement roles.
• Extensive experience sourcing products and materials from Chinese and other Asian manufacturers.
• In-depth knowledge of the procurement process to include contracts and negotiation.
• Global mindset and cross-cultural competency.
• Strong strategic and analytical skills. Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office.
• Strong communication and presentation skills required.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, influencing, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work in teams and build/sustain strong relationships.
Preferred Strengths/Abilities
• Project Management & Process Improvement Experience
• Experience working with ERP software (Ideally Odoo)
• Experience working with Healthcare, Medical Devices, Personal Protective Equipment, etc.

COVID-19 considerations:
Our offices and warehouse are located in Tampa, but due to Covid-19, most of our staff now works remotely full time. Anyone filling this role would be working remote full-time with the exception of occasional office visits as needed.
