What you’ll be doing...
This internship position – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Global Technology Solutions Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.
As a Software Development Intern, you may have the opportunity to:
• Support Sales tools, systems, and technologies.
• Support our Visible GTS team as Verizon continues to build out this start-up digital org.
• Leverage technical skills to develop core technologies to improve customer experience.
• Work on PEGA platform to setup customer offers and improve the customer experience
• Implement Blockchain solutions to resolve Invoice/Billing disputes with external partners such as ATT, Centurylink, Apple, Bestbuy, etc, enabling real-time dispute resolution and improving cash flow.
• Leverage Hyperledger fabric and associated blockchain technology such as smart contracts to eliminate/resolve billing and invoice disputes with partners by digitizing contracts/agreements, implementing unified business rules, and building shared ledger that can provide visibility and resolution across participating blockchain partners.
• Work on the Visible Firehose, a real-time data stream of all events on the Verizon network, to perform real-time networking monitoring and real-time segmentation of members.
• Gather real-time metrics on dropped calls, network outages, cell tower outages and quality of service.
• Work on Visible's e-commerce platform, by making it easier for members to pay for their service by adding additional payment methods by working on website and mobile experience and creating microservices.
You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and in good academic standing to be considered.

You’ll need to have:
• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Science and Mechanics, Analytics, Business Administration, Business Intelligence, or related major with an expected completion date between December 2021 and June 2024.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to work in Temple Terrace, FL.
Even better if you have:
• Strong analytical skills, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with React, Redux, Spring Boot framework, Javascript, Dynamic HTML, CSS, AI/ML, NLP, Deep Learning, Stream Processing, Pub/Sub, Apache Pulsar, Apache Heron, GoLang, Java, Mobility App development using Android Platform, Data Analytics, Hyperledger, Containers/AWS, CouchDB, Python, Pytorch, Tensorflow, H2O. AI, jupyter Notebook.
