What you’ll be doing...
This internship position – which is part of the Verizon Campus Program – will give you a chance to channel your drive and enthusiasm while learning from the best minds in the industry. You’ll be front and center, hands-on, and contributing your creative energy to high-impact projects from the moment you arrive through the course of this 10-week experience. You will take part in meaningful work and real-life projects within the Global Technology Solutions Organization that will help you grow both professionally and personally throughout the program.
As a Cloud Computing & SaaS Intern, you may have the opportunity to:
• Work on iEN & VCP VoIP application project work, automation, the transition to VCP 2.x
• Design architecture of cloud infrastructure, Edge computing, and Network service development (Cloud Infrastructure CI/CD Pipeline validation)
• Develop and build applications that add new features and content.
• Test and build product portfolios for Security, Messaging, VZ Cloud, and financial services.
• Assist with the TA&P team with Mobile Edge Compute lab networking platform and application development and in building different POC's and prototypes for MEC architecture.
• Design use cases/POC's, help onboard them, test, and demonstrate them to stakeholders.
• Assist TA&P team with Mobile Edge Compute projects that demonstrate the impact of latency and bandwidth on user experience.
• UsE skills in Python, Javascript, and other programming languages to build demonstrations with lab equipment like robotics, AR & VR hardware, etc.

You must be currently enrolled in a degree program and in good academic standing to be considered.

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, Engineering, or related major with an expected completion date between December 2021 and June 2024.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
• Willingness to work in Temple Terrace, FL.
Even better if you have:
• Strong analytical skills, communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and machine learning,
• Experience with Python, SQL, and JAVA.PostGIS, Cloud Computing, AWS or Azure. Javascript/React.js, HTML, CSS, Creating and Consuming RST APIs, Git, and/or related skills.
