Job Summary
The primary responsibility is to support safety and operations by evaluating jobsites, customer shipping and delivery locations to ensure safe operations.  In addition, become a training resource for company drivers thorough conduction of tailgate meetings and be a resource for assistance with safety and compliance for both company and external contract drivers.
Job Responsibilities
• Become an expert at flatbed securement, bulk cement pump off procedures, and aggregate dump truck procedures.
• Provide post orientation training to company drivers.
• Ensure adherence to Safety initiatives by company drivers and safety contractual requirements by external contract drivers
• Attend and actively participate in meetings with customers, sales team, and operations management to ensure safe delivery practices.
• Be present at jobs to ensure quality delivery and placement.
• Maintain records and produce reports regarding job-site issues, company driver performance and product issues.
• Participate in routine safety meetings with company drivers and customers.
• Establish consulting relationship with external drivers while effectively representing company’s best interests.
• Ensure that environmental, housekeeping, safety and business conduct comply with business standards and government regulations.
• Manage time effectively to schedule and prioritize assignments.
• Manage assigned special projects and requests.
• Provide pertinent, timely and accurate information to management and customers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in an industry related area or 3 years equivalent experience
• 3 – 5 years working experience in similar industry
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing; Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus
• Ability to motivate, train and develop others
Working Conditions
• Ability to drive for extended periods of time and work in field operations
Physical Requirements
• Requires stationary position, traverse, move, transport, and the ability to significant degree to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, or position
• Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.   Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors
