Qualifications
• Must have at least 6 months in the past 12 months OR 1 year in the past 3 years of verifiable, similar, T/T driving experience
• Must live within a 75 mile radius of Owensboro, KY .
• Manuel/Automatic Transmissions
• No DUI/DWI or major driving violations in past 3 years
• No more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
• Urine and Hair Drug Test Required
• CDL-A License and Hazmat are Required
Requirements
• This regional intermodal job, drivers will operate within the states of Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky
• Average Miles- 2,200 per week
• Home weekly for 34-48 hour reset
• Chicago Regional picks up from and delivers to 13 rail ramps (6 major ramps) in the Chicago-land area.
• All freight is on containers and is NO TOUCH
• Can take the truck home for time off
Responsibilities
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
• Inspect trailer before and after the trip, and record any defects they find.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, accidents or violations
