UX Architect
What Will You Do?
You will be responsible for information architecture and user experience design across all digital touch points including but not limited to desktop, mobile, kiosks, POS devices and any other consumer touch points that involve human computer interaction. The UX Architect may act as the User Experience Lead over large digital initiatives with support from junior team members or may assist Sr. UX Architects. Your work ladders up to Sr. UX Architects as well as UX leadership in support of business goals and objectives.
This role advocates for the end user throughout the project lifecycle and firmly practices the User Centered Design methodology. You will assist in planning and conducting user research, using a variety of research methods, and provides actionable insight and recommendations that inform critical design decisions for current and future projects. The UX Architect supports the identification of business goals and key performance indicators for the digital experience and is responsible for ensuring that any creative or other visual elements that impact the user experience, meets or exceeds the needs of our users and best practices.
You will work and collaborate with cross-functional team members, to create the user experience and any required documentation needed to bring high quality experiences to life.
The UX Architect user experience design for their assigned projects and ensuring existing and future digital experiences are maintained and continually optimized based on data-driven insights.
What Do You Need?
• 3-5 years professional experience
• Proven ability to develop intuitive experiences for desktop/responsive/adaptive web and native mobile applications.
• Strong skills in MS Office Suite or similar office software.
• Be an evangelist for the User Experience Center of Excellence.
• Easily adapts to change by having the ability to pivot, and change direction & priorities on short notice.
• Strong organizational detail and project management skills, with the ability to consistently meet demanding deadlines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to organize thoughts, communicate clearly, completely and concisely.
• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative user research.
• Some experience performing or being involved in user research & testing and developing insights and key recommendations.
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to think outside the box and develop creative solutions.
• Ability to articulate current experience trends in web design and mobile applications.
• Commitment to constantly improve one’s skills, staying current with developments and trends in the industry.
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, methodologies, best practices and approaches, particularly as applied to web-and mobile-based applications.
• Understanding of and passion for user experience and information architecture.
• Ability to take direction and work independently.
• Ability to articulate current trends in customer experience and ecommerce design thinking.
• Expert skill level using wireframing and design applications such as Axure, InVision, Sketch, Illustrator, Photo Shop, or equivalent.
