Job Description
I1
For 125 years, our client has provided quality legal services to a wide range of industries on a national stage. They've strived to learn our clients' businesses—to see the horizons through client’s eyes. They don't just counsel, but invest in the success of each client, partnering with them to achieve their business goals.
They seek at Trust & Estates Associate, mid-level with 3+ years of experience, Florida Bar (or in progress), ideally with an LLM from a top school. Much of the work will be in Estate Planning and Trust Administration. Applicant should have collateral knowledge of structuring Succession Planning, working with high-net-worth individuals, trusts and drafting wills. International experience does not appear to be necessary at this time. Any tax work is a plus.
As a multidisciplinary AmLaw 200 legal services provider, they have about 500 attorneys practicing at the top of the profession in many cities, including Naples and Tampa. Their national presence allows them to draw upon a group of highly skilled attorneys from all across the country to ensure the right people are working on our clients' matters. They have extensive experience working with the full industrial gamut, from cutting-edge technology to traditional manufacturing, and have developed an extensive network of relationships with international legal counsel around the world, so as to effectively handle important matters for clients on a global scale. Clients include major national and multinational corporations, technology companies, educational and research institutions, municipalities and government agencies, charitable organizations, industry executives, and high-net-worth individuals. They are industry leaders in technology, energy, financial services, health care, insurance, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and manufacturing, to name just a few.
Their values direct how they do business, how they engage each other, and who they select to join the firm:
• Clients First: We will place our clients’ interests first, the firm’s interests second, and individuals’ interests third.
• Purpose: We will be relentless in working to achieve our clients' and the firm's goals.
• Integrity: We will conduct ourselves in accord with the highest ethical and professional standards at all times.
• Respect: We will treat everyone at the firm in a respectful, candid, and collegial manner and we will uphold our commitment to diversity and community involvement
• Collaboration: We will conduct ourselves in the spirit of shared effort.
• Continuous Improvement: We will constantly strive to improve our performance.
These values directly impact their approach to client service.
At the firm, every person counts, every day. They are leaders in mentoring and developing outstanding diverse attorneys, with percentages of women and diverse partners and associates exceeding national averages. Women and diverse attorneys head five of the offices, including the largest. The firm is routinely ranked among the best law firms for women and diverse attorneys, family-friendly policies, informal training, and other categories that help promote a diverse workplace. A true climate of diversity, though, cannot be measured by statistics, ratings, and awards alone. Fostering inclusion through diversity is one of the surest ways to provide the best results for clients. Commitment to diversity is not about winning prizes. It is about winning cases, negotiating the best deal, and obtaining the most secure patents. It is about employing a diversity of thought, creativity, and experience to understand clients’ objectives and serve as trusted advisers. And it is about making sure that they reflect and give back to the communities in which they practice. The firm encourages job applicants who will contribute to the diversity of the practice and of the legal profession.
Salary is approximately $120-140K, with excellent benefits.
