Full Job Description
Job Title: Dispatcher
PTR Baler and Compactor is seeking a Dispatcher to join the team due to growth.
PTR Baler and Compactor is a world leader in the waste equipment industry. PTR helps companies achieve their green initiatives by reducing waste streams and increasing recycling efforts. The company: manufactures and services balers, compactors and provides parts and resources to customers.
Essential Functions:
• Logistically schedule and route technicians with maximum efficiency
• Dispatch local service orders to technicians
• Update PTR’s system and customers with accurate and complete status codes, ETA’s, call information, memos
• Update customer’s with accurate and complete status codes, ETA’s, call information, and memos via web portal, API’s or as required by customer
• Maintain customer database with current information
• Schedule follow-up trips as necessary
• Enter line and memo information into service order system
• Clear and concise communications with department managers, employees and company customers, including keeping customers appraised as to company schedule and requested lead-time
• Provide completed job information with all required documentation to billing department when calls are close
• Participate in on-call rotation
Education and Prior Experience :
• High School diploma required
• 2+ years related experience and or training in customer service, dispatching or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills and Qualities
• Proper grammar and writing skills
• Phone Skills: positive vibe, professional, clear enunciation, leave customer satisfied
• Can do attitude and customer driven
• Proficient Microsoft Excel and Outlook skills
