What you’ll be doing...
Join our Information Technology team where you will work on an enterprise system. You will work fairly independently on more complex operational & technical projects, issues, systems and applications. You will use your experience, expertise and skills to solve problems that are more difficult and infrequent.
• Work with the production support team and take necessary action to maintain stability 24x7 for domestic and international user base.
• Work with a team consisting of onshore/offshore IT developers and QA engineers to support an Enterprise Level application utilizing tools like JIRA, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, Ansible etc.
• Collaborate with multiple IT/non-IT stakeholders from Engineering, Network Inventory, Activation, Circuit Testing, and Dispatch domains.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to analyze system issues and resolve them.
• Employ and enforce strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
• Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Work independently to research and resolve issues to maintain system stability.
• Perform deep dive analysis into production issues/heap dumps; document findings and collaboration solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to support a 24x7 application, including some nights/weekends.
• Knowledge in Java.
• Knowledge of Weblogic 11g or higher.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Knowledge Oracle Database.
• Knowledge of Jenkins, DevSecOps pipelines, GitLab, Ansible, Maven.
• Knowledge of shell scripting.
• Willingness to travel.
Even better if you have:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems followed by six or more years of experience supporting solutions on public cloud and/or on-prem cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge in Java internals for JDK 7 and JDK 8 (threads, memory management, statics, garbage collections, heap dump analysis).
• JVM Support knowledge.
• Knowledge of RHEL/CentOS.
• Knowledge of AWS EC2, ELB.
• Ability to analyze and document issues and resolution.
• Verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
• Experience with application servers like WildFly.
• Experience with Oracle (11g - 19c) PL/SQL, triggers, procedures, packages, views, DDL impacts.
• Experience with Code Quality tools.
• Ability to correlate user issues into actionable solutions.
• Experience conduction Code Reviews.
• Experience working in Agile team and with Agile methodology.
• Experience with JDBC, Springboot, Spring Framework, Javascript, beanshell, AWS CloudFormation Templates, Groovy, Perl or Python, Kubernetes, Docker, ANT, Flyway; Oracle DB Change Management, Apigee, CORBA, Soap Services and REST Services, JMS, MQ, GitLab runners.
