General Labor; SEASONAL GRAIN ELEVATOR OPERATOR
Location: Owensboro, KY
JOB DUTIES:
• Responsible for the proper and accurate weighing, sampling, and recording of all inbound grain and grain products as well as all outbound grain and grain products.
• Operation of the hydraulic truck probe and hand probe.
• Packaging and shipping samples for shipment as well as for storage.
• Record all inbound and outbound grain and grain products
• Conduct applicable toxin testing on all inbound and/or outbound grain in an appropriate manner and report results to supervisor.
• Responsible for the proper calibration and cross checks of all grain testing equipment.
• Must be aware of and follow all applicable safety and environmental regulations with respect to the product you are handling.
• Visually monitors grain and grain products for irregularities and takes proper action when discovered.
• Perform all duties in a safe and environmentally compliant manner
• Assist in all other grain handling functions including but not limited to grain receiving and shipping via truck, barge and rail (if applicable).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Walking
• Walking on catwalks at a variety of heights – up to 200ft with appropriate safety equipment
• Climbing stairs and ladders
• Lifting up to 75 lbs
• Bending, Stooping
• Shoveling product
• Entering and working in confined spaces
• Working outdoors in a broad range of climate conditions
• Working over water
