We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for our Civil Infrastructure Group located in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:
• Provide HR support to employee client group in the areas of; employee relations, HR program and policy interpretation and administration, performance management and professional development coaching.
• Build strong professional relationships with district staff, and management teams to deliver value added services.
• Assist in the recruitment process for entry to mid-level positions. Includes managing requisitions, identifying appropriate sourcing strategies, maintaining applicant tracking system, phone screening, conducting interviews, employment verification, college recruitment and career fairs.
• Act as a liaison between candidates and hiring managers.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with industry contacts, academic institutions, and other networks/key contacts.
• Assist HR Manager with local market research and analysis.
• Assist with tracking of HR related metrics.
• Assist with social committees, district events, community/charity campaigns/events. Includes planning, budgeting, and on-site coordination on event days.
• Conduct exit interviews.
• Draft employee communications for PCL internal website. This will include new employee announcements and promotion announcements.
• Stays current on developments in federal and state laws, employee/employer relations, labor relations, and collective bargaining trends.
• Responsible for local, and state employer of choice submissions.
• Assist with compliance and required tracking.
• Promote inclusion, engagement, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Current PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• 3 years of progressive human resources generalist experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance and EEO.
• Understanding of EEO and governmental compliance laws.
• The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented environment.
• Must show initiative while meeting deadlines.
• Intermediate level Microsoft Office Suite skills.
• Experience with applicant tracking systems and payroll systems a plus.
• Ability to travel 30% of the time to project sites.
