Job Description Position Highlights:
• A Clinical Systems Analyst III Pharmacy is responsible for providing support toward the selection, installation, configuration, conversion, implementation and ongoing utilization of clinical systems on an expert level.
• Responsible for analysis, programming, testing, implementation and maintenance of clinical information systems.
• The Clinical System Analyst III Pharmacy should be able to provide expert knowledge in problem determination, evaluation, and solution.
• Develop and coordinate comprehensive test plans.
• Code and modify software modules as necessary.
Responsibilities:
• Evaluates, designs, codes, tests, and implements custom or vendor supplied systems software. Systems must be evaluated and selected in such a manner that they effectively respond to the business and clinical requirements of the organization.
• Assists in the development of project schedules, resource estimates, and work schedules.
• Prepares project status reports for assigned projects as needed.
• Monitors project progress and updates Planview.
• Assist with project and program development.
• Assists in the documentation of systems policies and procedures as well as training materials.
• Perform post-implementation support of new or re-engineered systems.
• Provide operational systems support to clients where capable and appropriate.
• Demonstrate detail test scenarios to minimize negative impact on clients.
Credentials and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Health Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business technology or related field
• Minimum of seven (7) years experience in technology roles providing systems support, interface development, and implementation efforts for Center-wide delivery at both the functional and technical layers
• minimum of two (2) years specifically supporting, building interfaces and application maintenance for Cerner (specifically Pharmnet), Pyxis, Pharmogistics and other related clinical services and applications is required (may be inclusive of other experience).
• PLUS one (1) year experience as a team/project lead, supervisor or above is required (may be inclusive of other experience)
Preferred Experience:
Specific experience in healthcare is preferred. Information systems certification in specific supported software preferred.
