Title : Hadoop Administrator
Location : Tampa, FL (Open to remote)
Scope :
Hadoop Platform that is currently being managed by a Big Data Core and architecture team. As platform continues to evolve, it will be critical to have an experienced Hadoop admin.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
• Minimum 5 years of administration experience on Hadoop Clusters using components - HDFS, HBase, Kafka, Spark, NiFi, Knox and Atlas.
• Work on enhancing the Azure cloud computing infrastructure.
• Work with the application teams to install required software, jars, and Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades as required.
• Provide performance monitoring and tuning of the Hadoop ecosystem tools.
• Manage and troubleshoot scheduled Hadoop jobs.
• Experience on Nifi and Kafka clusters administration, configuration and troubleshoot issues
• Setting up and administering a Kerberos cluster, LDAP, SSL configuration, and policies setup.
• Troubleshooting and resolving application errors
• Ensure the High Availability (HA) and performance of Hadoop clusters
• Monitor Health check of Hadoop clusters.
• A solid background in Linux system administration and shell scripting
• Excellent communication and Problem solving skills
• Mentors development team members
• Proactively helps to resolve difficult technical issues
• Strong experience in Database concepts, Analytic tools, and data governance practices.
• Provide technical knowledge to teams during project discovery and architecture phases
