Job Summary:
NerdsToGo is a cool, fast-growing brand that provides computer solutions to residential consumers and small businesses. We service every type of technology from computers, phones, tablets and printers to networks, internet connections, security and much more! Our Nerds happily provide onsite service at the customer’s location or customers can drop by our service center. We are currently seeking an experienced Lab Technician. The position is currently Saturday only but may convert to full time as the business grows. Applicant will be required to work on Saturday.
As a Lab Technician, the applicant will be responsible for the repair of desktops and laptops, including the replacement of internal components (screen, battery, keyboard, etc). Additionally, the applicant will repair Apple and Samsung cell phones/tablets, including screen replacements. The ideal applicant will have prior experience with cell phone/tablet repair as well as experience replacing the internal components of laptops and desktops. Experience successfully repairing Cell Phones and Tablets is an absolute hard requirement and such experience must be reflected in the candidate resume.
Lab Tech Duties Include:
• PC / Mac Hardware and software fault isolation and repair
• Cell Phone / Tablet Repair
• New PC Setup and Data Transfer
• Data recovery
• Virus protection and Spyware/Adware removal
• Software upgrade and installation
• Customer estimates/quotes for service
Skills & Experience:
• 2-5 years of experience with Windows-based PCs (Win7, Win8, Win10)
• Experience repairing cell phone and tablet screens . Must have
• Strong knowledge of PC troubleshooting and repair, both hardware and software/OS
• Experience with Apple/Mac OS troubleshooting and repair
• Professional, high-energy, customer-oriented work ethic
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
