Full Job Description
JN Electric of Tampa Bay has immediate openings for Commercial Service Technicians to join our team who are committed to providing professional, quality electrical services that exceed our customers’ expectations.
The ideal candidate must be interested in helping grow our service business, advance his/her job knowledge and have a Journeyman Electrician license with a minimum 5 years verifiable field experience; 3+ years as a Commercial Service Electrician. Demonstrate a thorough understanding of NEC and local requirements. Exhibit the highest integrity, honesty, responsiveness, and customer focus, professional appearance and a willingness to consistently go above and beyond expectations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Provide the highest quality of craftsmanship, with the end result being a service/solution that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectation and is in compliance with NEC and local requirements.
• Possess a comprehensive electrical knowledge base as an experienced Service Electrician.
• Communicates effectively with upper management on challenges, successes and needs to help drive value and superior service to our customers.
• Ensure accuracy and timely submission of all necessary documentation to include; responding to emails/voicemails, quoting services, completing and/or collecting of payments, and any other identified responsibilities.
• Assist with actively growing our customer base and range of services through growth-related initiatives.
• Be able to work a varied schedule at times to accommodate customer needs.
• Demonstrate the highest level of safety for themselves and others at all times

Personal Attributes/Competencies:
• Craftsman mentality, capable of installing work in accordance to NEC along with excellent visual outcome.
• Can handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environments with a “can do positive attitude”
• Is dependable and prompt when scheduled for work and sets the example for others

• Teachable, Resourceful, Driven, and a Quality Craftsman
• Self-motivated, proactive and an effective TEAM player
• Strong Communicator; verbally and in written format
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years verifiable field experience; 3+ years as a Commercial Service Electrician
• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency
• Excel at troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical challenges
• Technologically savvy; must be able to operate iPad tablets for receiving, processing, and closing out work orders
• Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
• Capable of maintaining a clean, safe driving record, valid driver’s license, passing drug screen, and background check
