The Straz Center in now seeking a Information Technology Manager - Systems. The Straz Center for the performing arts is a Non-Profit organization in the heart of downtown Tampa, who has been inspiring, educating and enriching our entire community through the trans-formative power of the performing arts for over 30 years. The Manager - Information Technology Systems is responsible for the design, implementation, monitoring, security and recovery of the organizations information technology infrastructure, including workstations, servers, networks, and phone systems.  This position also provides team participation, leadership, supervision and direction for a portion of the technology group and serves as second in charge to the Vice President of Information Technology.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversees all infrastructure technology operations and evaluates them according to established goals
• Establishes IT Policies and processes to support the implementation of strategies set by upper management
• Assists in building relationships with vendors, negotiating costs and controlling expenditures
• Coordinates with peers within the department to accomplish projects
• Provides project management for technology-initiated activities.
• Manages and supervises direct reports ensuring projects are completed within the guidelines and timeframes
• Manages the organizations helpdesk and ensure SLA metrics are achieved
• Ensures the organization's data security policies and procedures are adhered to
• Implements new data security measures with the ever-evolving threat landscape
• Direct and support implementation of software and hardware upgrades
• Assists with departmental and organizational Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
• Serves as the organizations Systems Administrator, including the following:
• Develops and maintains the network operating systems.
• Develops and maintains Cloud infrastructure systems such as:
• Amazon AWS
• Office365
• Azure AD
• Develops and maintains the wireless and cellular infrastructure
• Develops and maintains Point of Sale network and equipment
• Develops and maintains phone system and telephone communications.
• Develops and maintains storage area network infrastructure.
• Escalates vendor specific issues to vendor support and facilitates the remediation of the issue
• Develops and maintains other business systems including Exchange, SharePoint, Microsoft SQL.
• Coordinating IT activities to ensure data availability and network services with as little downtime as necessary.
• Works to resolve system errors or failures. Identifies system problems and implements corrective actions.
• Assists with system design and performs or oversees hardware and software installation and maintenance.
• Works with the help desk to provide tier 2 technical assistance to other departments and other information technology staff members
• Monitors resource utilization and recommends infrastructure changes/upgrades, when necessary.
• Develops, implements, and monitors data backup and archiving procedures.
• Troubleshoots a variety of workstation related issues.
• Communicates information effectively to the staff, project managers, vendors, consultants and clients.
• Properly documents system and user documentation, assets, administrative, and licensing information.
• Monitors the day-to-day operation of the phone system and telephone communications. Reports problems to the appropriate vendor and monitors resolution.
• Available for on-call and after-hours support, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for hiring, training, supervising, disciplining, and evaluating the following positions:
• (2) Junior System Administrator's
• (1) Information Technology Support Associate
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participates in departmental staff meetings.
• Participates in organization Data Security Incident Response Team
• Participates as needed in organization Incident / Security team
• Performs other departmental functions as necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the IT function.
• Keeps current and maintains knowledge of the latest technologies with respect to the performing arts business.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
• In-depth knowledge of IT hardware and software sufficient to design state-of-the-art solutions to business requirements and quickly resolve problems.
• In-depth working knowledge of the Microsoft Operating systems and the various Microsoft server applications including: Server Roles, Exchange, SharePoint, and SQL.
• Experience in maintaining a virtual server environment with VMware ESX server and/or V-Sphere.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS
• Experience with a variety of network infrastructure hardware including SonicWALL and Cisco
• Experience with supporting 100+ workstations.
• Trouble-shooting skills and deductive reasoning sufficient to gather relevant symptoms, deduce probable cause, research information sources, as necessary, and resolve the problem in the minimum amount of time.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to foster relationships with the staff.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees within the organization as well as strategic vendors and business partners outside of the organization.
• Ability to handle many projects simultaneously and demonstrate good judgment and maturity in decision making.
Education and Work Experience:
• Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six (6) or more years' experience in the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of a complex IT infrastructure.
• MCSE, CISSP, MCITP, MCTS, and CCNA certifications preferred, but not required.
