Project Lead Application Software Engineer (Core Systems)

TITLE: Business Intelligence Engineer, Lead
Formulates new internal processes and analytical reports to improve resources.
Gathers data from departments; updates periodic reports; analyzes statistical data to identify and corrects errors and evaluates general content.
Using advances business unit knowledge, proactively researches requests for assistance and recommends software solutions or process improvements that will meet business needs.
Conducts accounting-based research and analysis to provide definitive financial data and advice for use in administering specific fiscal programs and processes.
Performs review analysis, including accumulation of data, financial and forecast modeling, reporting and monitoring of responses.
Develops Ad-Hoc reports to conduct data analysis and validation.
Analyzes trends to recommend process and or operational improvements.
Researches methodologies and conducts advances metric reporting.
Evaluates financial impact of implemented initiatives.
Participates in mentoring analyst within the team to strengthen the team’s knowledge, expertise and flexibility by sharing knowledge of history, background, data, and processes.
Escalates hot topics and processes at risk of missing requirements to help keep the analyst and business teams synchronized.
May use raw data warehouse to generate reports using statistical toolset that includes SAS, greenplum, R, Python, Alteryx, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, cognos, tableau, crystal reports.
Evaluates internal and external customer needs and abilities in order to provide appropriate solutions.
Provides input to business requirements for the design of solutions.
Identifies and provides input to new technology opportunities that will have an impact on the enterprise wide BI systems.
Advises executives on how BI (processes, practices and technologies) play a critical role in improving business management and optimization.
Explores and discovers patterns, meaningful relationships, anomalies and trends.
Designs institute-wide “views” and custom reports.
May perform analysis for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms.
Researches business problems and creates models that help analyze these business problems.
Develops best practices for report and deployment and able to perform BI Administration functions for Tableau and Cognos.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering (any), or related.
Seven (7) years of required experience in Business analysis or related must include: Seven (7) years of development experience with statistical tool sets including SAS, Greenplum, R, Python, Alteryx, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, SSMS, Power BI, Cognos, OLAP, TM1, Tableau, Crystal Reports; Data Marts; SQL Server System; Tableau; PL SQL; and Date Warehouse.
Experience must also include: Working as part of and leading business intelligence center of Excellence functions that require healthcare cross functional business and domain expertise; Deployment experience and performing BI Administration functions for tableau and Cognos to support self-service BI Roles. Experience in analyzing and building metrics from ERP applications that include PEGA and virtual health.
