Who we are looking for:
A C4 Software / Cloud Engineer who will serve as a mid-level software engineer for SOCOM PEO-C4 government clients in a fast-paced, demanding environment. The individual will possess the necessary skills to integrate and develop software applications, based on common languages, per below, as well as the ability to self-educate to implement proprietary APIs as required. Additionally the ideal candidate will be able to develop and implement a software development lifecycle (SDLC, Agile Development) from preliminary system analysis to test and deployment.
Essential Duties Include:
• Enhancing applications by identifying opportunities for improvement, making recommendations and designing and implementing systems
• Maintaining and improving existing codebases and peer review code changes
• Liaising with colleagues to implement technical designs
• Investigating and using new technologies where relevant (Cloud Technologies)
• Providing written documentation, flowcharts and layouts to identify requirements and solutions
• Holding Daily/Weekly scrum meetings to ensure the project remains on schedule
• Improving system quality by identifying issues and common patterns, and developing standard operating procedures
Required Skills
• Strong programming ability in Java, C#, C++ or other high-level language
• Strong ability to build/review apps using the Android SDK and Android Studio
• Highly skilled at software development in a Windows/Linux environment
• Highly proficient in network/routing protocols, and the OSI layers
• Highly proficient with relational databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
• Self-motivated, flexible team player with good written and oral skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Solid understanding of the software lifecycle development (SDLC/Agile)
• Strong cloud Database knowledge (AWS Relational Database Service/Azure Cosmos DB)
Required Experience
• Experience or knowledge implementing container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Experience of knowledge in Cloud Computing Environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Experience or knowledge in Cloud development and container technologies (AWS EKS, Azure AKS)
• Experience developing web applications using at least one popular web framework (Angular, Django, React, JavaScript, Spring MVC)
• Experience in scripting languages(Python/Powershell)
• Experience with infrastructure automation technologies (Ansible Docker, Vagrant)
Years of Experience:
• 4+ Years with BA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineer or related fields.
• 8+ Years with High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Level of Education:
• 4 Year Degree
Security Clearance Req:
• Secret Clearance with ability to obtain TS / SCI
