Responsibilities
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research into appropriate technology components and stack by identifying clients, prospective clients, and non-clients that may have an interest in a potential functional development. Working with those stakeholders through contextual design, market segmentation, and usability testing to gain an understanding of the customer problems and system usage.
Contextual design activities include developing screening surveys to identify participants, interviews (virtually or in person) to assess the function; observing the way that clients work while performing the function (e.g., types of data being used, where they are getting the data, general behaviors being used); documenting all information observed and collected; repeating the interview process to obtain a comprehensive data set (approximately 7-12 interviews).
Segmentation activities include development of surveys and questionnaires to identify client segments and validating findings of other market research projects. Cluster analysis of survey and questionnaire results to support definition of market segments. Analysis of data is reviewed and used to organize the data and clients into relevant customer segments to better set priority and the product roadmap.
Usability testing activities include the development of test scripts, identifying potential participants both client and non-client, planning and supervising usability labs, analyzing data to refine UX prior to release.
Acts as a Partner to the Architecture Team using Agile software development methodologies Co-ordinate selection and planning of technical platform needs with the Architecture team including identifying process inefficiencies and recommending solutions. Work with senior leadership to prioritize technical platform advancement and technical debt and work across scrum teams (lead developers; product owners and quality assurance leads) to identify and prioritize cycle and sprint goals; work with Agile scrum master to assist in the resolution of global issues.
Ensures system functionality meets technical design requirements by acting on behalf of the technical user during sprint reviews; participating in redesigns if the functionality does not meet design requirements; presenting the final design to the original interviewees for assessment (in-person or via live meeting); tweaking the process based on feedback; and presenting the design to a focus group for assessment.
Contributes to organizational success by sharing subject matter expertise by participating educating the global organization on technical architecture using business language, clearly articulate value propositions and distinctive advantages of technical environments/ services; and coaching and mentoring other product management staff to develop technical skills.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline
5 year of experience working on a software team in a technical capacity as either a lead technical product manager or lead architect
5 years of technical product management experience
5 years writing technical business requirements in a complex work environment
Identifying customer needs
Project management
Selection of technical components, services and platforms through to market delivery of those solutions
Documenting use case, requirements, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams and data flow diagrams in a technical environment
Creating executive-level content and detailed presentations
Working with individuals at all levels of an organization, including C-level executives
