Lap of Love is seeking empathetic, self-motivated individuals with excellent communication skills and the desire to assist pet families. We are dedicated to compassionate end of life care and our practice focuses solely on veterinary in-home hospice and in-home euthanasia.
We are currently in search of a high-performing, highly motivated, and forward-thinking Support Center Trainer. Our trainer focuses on delivering quality training education services to our Support Center Veterinary Care Coordinators. You will support our users across North America, through virtual training programs. This role is critical to our organization as it promotes the development of our most valuable asset - our talent.
Job Description * *Primary Responsibilities:
• Maintains training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials
• Prepares new hires by conducting orientation to appointment process; developing individual coaching plans; providing resources and assistance; and monitoring progress through the training/educational modules.
• Leads monthly training classes utilizing a variety of delivery techniques appropriate for adult learners
• Performs follow up educational trainings with Support Center Veterinary Care coordinators after graduation
• Maintains performance standards through audited client interactions
• Communicates routinely with Learning Technology Manager to keep LTM informed of any “training issues”
• Develop individual results by maintaining policy and procedure resources; monitoring calls, providing feedback/coaching; conducting training sessions; and developing outcome improvement resources
• Determines training needs through one-on-one mock appointments, observing phone skills; collaborating on best practices for client service
• Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available; integrating support with routine job functions.
Preferred Experience:
• Professional training experience, Learning and Development Specialist, Corporate Trainer, Technical Trainer, or a related title
• Must have experience in teaching others how to use technology and communicate while navigating through technology
• Must have knowledge of adult learning principles and the ability to implement these principles in a training curriculum
• Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and deliver training programs utilizing skills in instructional design, program design & development, and training technologies
• Strong organizational, planning, project management, problem resolution, communication, presentation, facilitation, and influencing skills required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to multi-task effectively
• Able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
• Strong and professional interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity
• Strong customer service skills with a passion to help others in every way possible
• Proficient and comfortable utilizing the internet and programs, such as, Gmail, Google Calendar and Slack. Must have the ability to quickly learn custom software
• Displays compassion, control and confidence in all aspects of the position
