Ready to take on an exciting new challenge? McKim & Creed has a great opportunity for an individual with proven experience in evaluation methodologies and techniques for the assessment of underground infrastructure condition, identification of and abatement of infiltration and inflow, design and construction using trenchless technologies, and for infrastructure asset management programs. Having built a successful R & R program from scratch, this position steps into an ongoing operation that provides an opportunity for a leadership position to drive expansion.
Initially, this role includes project management and day to day coordination of project teams and field personnel engaged in data collection, CCTV inspections, flow monitoring and analysis of sanitary sewer and storm sewer infrastructure systems. The individual will drive technical and business decisions for this $3 M + business within the framework of an ENR 500 engineering firm. This individual will have the opportunity to drive growth for the business in terms of geographic and service expansion.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Directing and monitoring project teams and activities related to condition assessment and infiltration/inflow identification, quantification and recommendations for abatement.
• Spearheading expansion of project opportunities and client relationships, generating repeat business with our existing clients as well as developing new clients.
• Hiring, mentoring and developing talent focused on innovative data collection, data analytics and asset management recommendations for clients within a team environment.
• Working with marketing team partners and business unit leadership to target growth opportunities in the region and develop winning proposals.
• Working with Design/Build team partners to develop creative and unique approaches to project design and execution, develop cost proposals and participate in client presentations.
• Ensuring compliance with and maintaining design standards and specifications for quality and safety on infrastructure design and rehabilitation projects.
• Evaluating rehabilitation methods involving use of trenchless technologies for sewer collection system projects.
Required Skills
Required Experience
• 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar role in the wastewater industry required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer strongly preferred.
• A driving focus on responsive service and innovative thinking.
• Strong team leadership experience including managing overall project delivery, staff and client expectations, prioritization of tasks, and administrative supervisory responsibilities.
• Effective client development talents including: active lead development, valuable communications, effective client presentations and written reports.
• Experience in NASSCO condition assessment standards for condition rating of buried infrastructure.
• PACP and MACP Certification a plus but not required.
• Experience with I/I studies, sewer system evaluation surveys, and pipeline and manhole rehabilitation methodologies.
• Expertise in design and/or construction of wastewater pipeline replacement and rehabilitation, including trenchless technologies.
• Experience using open channel flow metering, operation of CCTV equipment, and associated data management software.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, & Project).
• Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
