The Sr Technical Services Consultant is the consulting and implementation role that ensures our customers realize the maximum value from their investment. TS helps customers install, configure and optimize the client applications according to established best practices. Additionally, TS provides companies with consulting services covering advanced functions and features, data privacy and data governance.
The Technical Services(TS) Consultant provides service delivery and advisory services for client customers. Individually and as part of a wider project team. The TS consultant is the subject matter expert on all Client applications, data security and data governance. The consultant strives to minimize time to value for our customers.
• Gathering and analyze information about a customer’s environment.
• Eliciting and documenting customer requirements by leading requirements gathering and design workshops with the customer’s key stakeholders
• Advising customers about system requirements and providing systems capabilities analysis
• Installing, configuring and testing client’s applications to ensure a successfully implementation in the customer’s environment.
• Providing data security and data governance best practice guidance to customers throughout the life of the engagement.
• Providing training to customers through multiple mediums including (Face to Face, Remote call and video conference, Classroom training etc).
• Analyzing, diagnosing and resolving all technical issues during TS engagement.
• Juggling multiple customer engagements in different stages at the same time.
• Recording detailed session notes, recording billable time and developing business as usual (BAU) end-of-engagement reports.
Qualifications: Strong people skills
Strong analytical skills
Strong troubleshooting skills with ability to sequentially step backwards from symptom to cause.
5+ years of technical IT background. (System Admin background preferred)
3+ years of on-site consulting experience is desired.
Education: Minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or other related field.
Desired
Certifications: CISA or CISM or CISSP or CIPM or CIPP/US
Note: Successful completion of IAPP’s CIPM or CIPP/US within the first year of employment is required for all TS new hires.
Experience: A strong technical background is required. A demonstrated background and understanding of the Windows domain environment is needed to perform basic duties. Understanding of LDAP, Active Directory, local and domain permissions and the difference between local and domain service accounts is required.
Consulting experience including facilitating customer meetings to determine customer requirements, one on one discussions with department leaders to determine how that department works with data and ability to lead management types to desired outcome.
