Vendita Technology Group has an opening for an entry level system support engineer with good Linux & DB experience. This position will be primarily focused on supporting clients and supporting deployments of our linux based database product, testing and will be involved with Vendita MAS, an automation platform for databases and infrastructure. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn, broaded your exposure to technology and build your technical skills.
Linux product knowledge and skills in the following areas are required:
• You must have a good understanding of Linux cli, file structure and runtime processes. The ideal candidate will have some database experience.
Knowledge of the following products is desired, but not required:
• Oracle DB, MySQL, PostGreSQL
• Vim, top, ping, tracert, tail.
Knowledge or experience with public cloud platforms is also a plus.
Communication capabilities with this position are critical; strong writing kills, and strong verbal communication skills.
Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree in computer science or electrical engineering, MIS, or other engineering degree, or have experience commensurate with this position. Oracle product certifications are a plus.
