IT Systems Engineer (Active TS/SCI Clearance)
Cloud Lake Technology an Akima Company, is looking to hire an IT Systems Engineer to join us in supporting one of our current government customers at MacDill Air Force Base. The successful candidate will provide direct IT support for a team that builds, tests, and maintains on-premises IT infrastructure for geospatial information systems. This position will maintain a networked computing infrastructure, ensuring the system runs smoothly and efficiently and proactively providing the highest levels of availability for all systems and infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure provides technical support (help desk) to users by troubleshooting problems related to computer or network performance.
• Assist in the design, development and testing of technical infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools.
• Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with users to implement those fixes.
• Coordinates and/or performs additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems; includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new network hardware and software.
• Implementing best practices for system security and data backups.
• Anticipating potential issues or bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions.
• Troubleshooting and resolving all technical issues when they arise.
• Coordinates and/or performs additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems; includes investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new network hardware and software.
• Provides direct support in the day-to-day operations on network hardware and operating systems; duties include evaluation of system utilization, monitoring response time and primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
• Assist Information System Security Officer in Risk Management Frameworks tasks and implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides.
• Other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
• TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Associate or Bachelor-level degree and a minimum of 3 years of professional and relevant experience (c ombination of training, education, experience (including Military service) equivalent to a degree and required years of experience may be acceptable).
• Experience supporting military / DoD program is a plus.
• Certifications: Security CE.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to work well directly with users of high end desktops.
• Have demonstrated an ability to balance responsibilities among assigned activities; including the ability to manage transitions effectively from task to task, and proven adaptability to varying customer needs.
Desired Qualifications:
• Certifications: Network , A , VMWare, MCSE: Core Infrastructure
