We are seeking a Database Administrator that has had the fortunate opportunity to develop skills and capabilities in their career in at least two of the following areas:
• Demonstrated Knowledge and Experience with the ESRI Enterprise platform (primary)
• Demonstrated MICROSOFT SQL DBA experience (secondary)
• Project management and maintenance skill set (secondary and can evolve)
Our goal is to hire a professional and technical expert that can develop, manage, and improve proprietary solutions built on the ESRI Enterprise Server platform, as well as other internal database and developer projects requiring SQL database capabilities.
We are open to professional seeking full-time and/or contract opportunities; however, this is a long-term need with a full-time position associated with it. The role offers great diversity of work including client-facing GIS applications and solutions; internal efficiency projects and team engagement; ability to develop and build new solutions in tandem with GIS and IT teams; and the ability to grow into the full potential of the new position.
Candidates that will be considered should have approximately 5-10 years direct experience working with Enterprise GIS/ Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS for Server, ESRI Field Data Collection Applications GIS Desktop and system administration knowledge of Data Management as it relates to Asset Management and Geospatial Applications. SQL developer experience and familiarity with Esri’s API for Python, Web AppBuilder, REST API, and ArcGIS API for Javascript or other programming languages, such as C#.NET and/or Java that may enhance development tasks is a huge plus.
Responsibilities:
This position and its responsibilities will be finalized based on the experience and capabilities of the final candidate. General responsibilities for potential support area include:
• Support client and public facing ESRI Enterprise Server
• Management of Esri Enterprise GIS system and SQL Server to enable deliverables that meet internal and external client requirements.
• Design, development, configuration, testing and implementation of enterprise level geospatial solutions.
• Receive, diagnose, and resolve end user issues with ESRI Enterprise Server
• Drive and support technology adoption initiatives around field data collection
• Support IT department projects involving administration of MSSQL Server
• Apply best practices to support the design and development of spatial and non-spatial databases, web mapping applications, and enterprise system integrations
• Provide project team leadership encouraging team cooperation and supporting group problem solving to ensure progress towards project and ECT goals
• Effectively communicate expressing thoughts and ideas and to present information to staff and clients in both written and verbal form.
