Department Profile
The ICUs include Trauma, Neuroscience, Surgical, Medical, Vascular, Cardiothoracic, Coronary Care, Burn, Adult ICU Step Down, Pediatrics, and Neonatal Units. TGH is a Level I Trauma Center, and a certified Regional Burn Center that excels in the care of critically ill patients.
Job Summary
According to hospital policy and professional guidelines, designs and implements infection controls for hospital construction, renovation, and maintenance projects. Position is responsible for the Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) process to include project planning and daily monitoring to ensure ICRA compliance. Intervenes to mitigate risks to patients, healthcare providers, and visitors as appropriate. Assists with training on the ICRA process to TGH team members and outside contractors. Assists hospital’s Certified Industrial Hygienist in other aspects of the Industrial Hygiene Services program including annual team member chemical exposure monitoring, indoor air quality studies, and special projects. Position requires interaction and communication with TGH management, architects, engineers, employee representatives, and outside agencies.
Required Skills
Baccalaureate degree.
Minimum of two (2) years of directly related work experience in Industrial Hygiene or environmental health and safety.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

CHSP- Certified Healthcare Safety Professional
OHST- Occupational health and safety technologist
CHC- Certified Healthcare Constructor
OSHA 30 Hour Certification
