The overall goal of this research study is to understand the immune response (IgG) to SARS-CoV-2 to fill critical knowledge gaps in the natural history of this virus. We specifically aim to assess the prevalence of circulating IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2 and the factors associated with sero-prevalence. #We are looking to enroll study participants to this study during a 4-month period. Center for Immunization and Infection Research in Cancer (CIIRC) Fowler Campus is looking for a temporary Certified Medical Assistant to perform phlebotomy. Position Highlights: Certified Medical Assistants are essential members of the study team, they contribute to the healthcare of patients by assisting with exams and procedures, organizing and managing patient flow, and taking on other responsibilities based on the needs of the department.# Ideal Candidate: Prior experience in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred. Phlebotomy experience is a must. Specific training/experience required depending upon the specialty area of the position. These include but are not limited to Human Subjects Protection and other research specific training. Responsibilities: Recognizes emergency situations and implements emergency procedures.#Administers first aid and CPR. Responsible for patient procedures/examinations, including room preparation, patient positioning, supplies and equipment.# Credentials and Qualifications: High School Diploma Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program accredited by one of#the#following organizations: Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP); or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Certification or Registration from one of the following organizations: American Association of Medical Assistants (AMAA) American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) In lieu of medical assistant training will consider military medical technician training; or CNA with 10+ years outpatient/ambulatory experience. BLS Certification is required Experience performing lab draws and EKG testing. #
