Job Description
Family First Homecare is a locally owned home health nursing company specializing in providing long term solutions to individuals needing care in the privacy and comfort of their own home.
The Vice President of Clinical (VPC) is responsible for overseeing clinical operations for an assigned geographic region. The VPC will be accountable for the training and development of clinical staff, the overall delivery of clinical services to include utilization management, compliance with company policy, accreditation standards, and State/ Federal regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Provides leadership, training, guidance, and mentoring to the Directors of Nursing (DON) and Clinical Managers (CM)
• Promotes employee engagement and retention
• Evaluates and records individual and team performances, provides coaching and counseling, and makes appropriate development recommendations
• Ensures that competency and training programs are effectively identified and delivered to all offices and monitored for overall success
• Collaborates with the Family First leadership teams in identifying, developing, delivering, and monitoring consistent clinical information and processes
• Participates in the development and review of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all State, Federal, and Accreditation standards
• Oversees the Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for each assigned office
• Identifies clinical and quality metrics trends and ensures that appropriate corrective action is implemented
• Responsible for the coordination and oversight of all plans of correction and quality initiatives
• Performs on-site office assessments as directed by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)
• Partners with the Vice President of Operations (VPO) to lead cohesive teams toward common organizational goals
• Assists leadership with the opening of new offices and the development/success of those offices
• Maintains professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills
• Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Skills
• Experience caring for the complex pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations
• Experience with Pediatric Trach/Vent and G-tube
Job Requirements
• Registered Nurse with at least 5 years of clinical management experience
• Forward thinker with creative problem-solving abilities
• Working knowledge of home care regulatory and federal requirements
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, decision-making, presentation, and communication skills
• Possess outstanding leadership, teaching, and training skills
• Proven customer service skills, sound independent judgment, initiative and solid organization and time management skills required
• Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to travel 75% to office locations throughout designated area
