We provide physicians with the ability to provide their patients fast and convenient access to medications directly from the physician office or by mail. Our services directly impact patient convenience, care, and well-being at their personal physician’s office. The Company is experiencing rapid growth as it expands its product offerings and customer base throughout the United States. Our pharmacies typically operate during standard practice hours and are closed nights and weekends.
As a Staff Pharmacist you will work under the direction of the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) and will supervise pharmacy personnel to assist operations achieve business objectives by increasing sales and gross margins, managing equipment, limiting expenses, directing operations to minimize wait times, monitor department performance metrics, uphold proper pharmacy and general safety procedures & standards, as well as partnering with management to help meet sales objectives, increase prescription volume, and support the mission, vision and values of Advanced Rx.
Reports to: Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
Direct Reports: Pharmacy Technicians
Role and Key Responsibilities:
• Maintains records of all transactions of the pharmacy necessary to ensure accurate control over and accountability for all drugs as required by applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations and effectively utilize the Pharmacy Management System
• Fills prescriptions and maintains detailed and accurate records of all prescription transactions
• Answer pharmaceutical questions from patients and staff
• Maintain inventory levels to company goals, rotate stock, comply with recalls, and utilize return process
• Provides patient consultation and advise on drug utilization, interactions, and general medication protocols
Participation in one of the following committees is preferred:
• Quality Review Committee (Approx. 25% of responsibility)
• Review both quality and performance of both pharmacy (internal & external) and programs developed to service patients’ therapeutic needs).
• Meets quarterly to review quality improvement projects established by team
• Clinic Review Committee (Approx. 25% of responsibility)
• Meetings held quarterly or as needed around program parameters and specific patient case files. Report findings to quality review committee.
Competencies:
• Knowledge of laws governing drugs, pharmacy products, and third-party plans
• Understanding of claims billing and collections preferred
• Standard for rigorous adherence to high work ethic, productivity and commitment by exemplifying these traits and leading by example
Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of experience as a retail or clinical Pharmacist preferred
Education:
• Graduate from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education
License & Certifications:
• Active and unrestricted Registered Pharmacist license
• Ability to fill and dispense in multiple states preferred
