Position Highlights: Coordinates the clinical activities of the inpatient and outpatient Respiratory Care department.## Provides supervisory direction to RTs.# Responsible for daily operations, staff training, and education.# Works closely with the Clinical Care Coordinator to ensure quality and safety.# Works collaboratively with multiple disciplines and departments throughout the Cancer Center.# Provides clinical support (patient care) on a limited basis.# The Ideal Candidate: Bachelor#s Degree CAP Surveyor BLS CPR Instructor 5 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting # Responsibilities: Oversee daily departmental operations (with collaboration of manager) including, but not limited to, coordination of RT schedules, billing activities, safety, recruiting/hiring/training of new staff Responsible for education of the department on new equipment, techniques, policies, procedures.# Education of staff outside of the department via in-services. Responsible for serving as clinical informatics liaison for the department including updating or creating new documentation, acting as super user for all new systems, testing prior to go live Complete respiratory care services as a clinical practitioner Credentials and Qualifications: 5 years of clinical experience required in an acute care setting Minimum of two year#s clinical experience in critical care Experience in leadership roles Active member AARC and FSRC Licensure in the state of Florida in Respiratory therapy is required Current BLS required
