Do you enjoy working in a fast paced team environment? Our busy orthodontic practice is searching for a dedicated, committed, and professional Dental Assistant who can assist during patient appointments. We need someone who can perform basic orthodontic procedures, such as adjustments, take x rays, and maintain patients records with utmost confidentiality. The ideal candidate for this position should preferably have an orthodontic background and experience working with patients of all ages.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilizing instruments and, moving equipment into place.
- Update and maintain patient dental records.
- Perform routine orthodontic procedures.
- Provide support to the orthodontist and clinical staff as needed.
- Offer patients advice and materials necessary to maintain good dental health during treatment.
- Prevent the spread of infection and disease by maintaining a clean work environment.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Qualifications and skills:
- Successful completion of a dental assistant licensing program as per state guidelines. Certified Orthodontic Assistant credential is a plus.
- At least 1 year as an Orthodontic Assistant required.
- Must have reliable transportation, be willing and able to travel to different locations in the Tampa Bay area.
- Comprehensive understanding of dental and orthodontic instruments and materials.
- Exceptional customer service skills and team oriented.
- Basic knowledge of orthodontic software.
- Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
