General Purpose of Position
To analyze and understand the complete cost structure of the plant.
Essential Functions of the Position
SPECIFIC
All month end closing journals & account reconciliations
Maintenance of standard cost system
Daily postings relating to scrap & manufacturing costs
Provides back up coverage for Plant Controller
Perform the burden study for standard costing
Additional responsibilities as required – this position is subject to change as the needs of the department change

Be proactively involved with improving working conditions

Offer ideas for improvement of all systems and help implement them
Lead area in achieving plant quality objectives/goals

0 PPM on parts
Understand customer needs and work towards meeting and exceeding them
HOUSEKEEPING
Maintain the appearance of a World Class Facility
Actively support full implementation of the 5S’s, using it to approach and keep all areas clean, neat and properly maintained
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT/TRAINING
Actively involved with the Metalsa Model practices
Academics and Experience Criteria
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Costing, Month end closing, Journal entry preparation, Forecasting and Financial analysis
Two years of experience in Accounting field with a manufacturing or public accounting firm
Four year degree in Accounting of Finance from an accredited college or equivalent work experience
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT
Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving, planning, team orientation and presentation skills
Good organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
Excellent control of stress, proactively
Administrative control
TECHNICAL
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point)
