Description The Director, Stars Innovation, leads the advancement of new innovation opportunities that help maintain Humanas industry leading Stars results. This highly visible position leads the team in defining innovation objectives focused on clinical outcomes and customer experiences based on customer, market, and business needs. In this role, you will develop and implement ideas to improve Stars results using various resources such as market information, consumer insights, external organizations, and internal/external networks. Responsibilities The Director, Stars Innovation will partner with and influence leaders throughout the company in order to create alignment, inspire action, and deliver tangible results. This leader has an in-depth understanding of how enterprise functions interrelate, and is able to work effectively with partners in product, marketing, pharmacy, clinical services, service operations, and other areas. He or she understands and is able to apply agile methodologies and human-centered design in the role. Responsibilities + Develop and maintain a vibrant innovation portfolio focused on delivering industry-leading quality results + Oversee complete lifecycle of innovation projects (idea through implementation) + Conduct test and learn initiatives to prove capabilities and determine effectiveness of solutions + Connect the organization to external thinking, trends, and best practices + Oversight of innovation budget, vendor relationships, and project/program management + Create collaborative working relationships with teams within and outside Stars organization + Demonstrate superior ability to influence multiple stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior executives + Lead and develop team of high-performing direct reports + Utilize strong business acumen to manage and improve quality results Required Qualifications + Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or a related field + 8 or more years of innovation and/or process improvement experience + 5 or more years of people leadership experience + Demonstrated track record of leading innovation and improvement activity in a matrixed organization + Proven skills in analyzing data trends and identifying performance improvement opportunities + Strong attention to detail and focus on customer experience and quality + Excellent communication skills + Ability to operate under tight deadlines + Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint + Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences and health outcomes Preferred Qualifications + Masters degree + Prior Medicare/Medicaid experience, knowledge of Stars and CMS quality measures + PMP certification + Six Sigma Certification Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 About Us Mission: At Humana, our cultural foundation is aligned to helping members achieve their best health by delivering personalized, simplified, whole-person healthcare experiences.
