Manager, Population Health Solutions Program Mgmt
Position Purpose: Functions as a program manager in collaboration with Population Health Solutions (PHS) business owners or cross-functional work groups in the development and implementation of efficient and effective standards, policy and procedures, workflows, and decision support systems to support ongoing improvements of clinical and administrative operations. Responsible for all aspects of the planning, delivery and monitoring of strategic programs within PHS organization. Manages initiatives through advanced skills in project management and strong organizational relationships. Provides leadership and direction to matrixed teams to ensure the successful completion of complex enterprise programs. Candidate Education: Required A Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration or related field
Essential Functions: * Independently oversees the creation and implementation for programs relevant to the organization's strategic initiatives involving PHS clinical, administrative, and operational input.
* Responsible for creating comprehensive project timelines including sign-off from all work streams. Ensures the project teams create and maintain appropriate deliverables while following WellCare standards and best practices
* Serves as the first escalation point for project issues and risks. Works directly with the project teams to resolve issues and create risk mitigation plans. Responsible for escalating well-formulated issues and risks to leadership.
* Drives program-level reporting to increase visibility and proactive monitoring of the program performance. Responsible for reporting program progress to senior leaders
* Responsible for proactive management in areas such as risks, budget/forecast, dependencies, etc. Prepares strategic analysis of potential business and/or operational opportunities as needed
* Responsible for leading cross-functional teams, internal and external, through all phases of the project lifecycle to achieve project objectives. Encourages collaboration and ensures that all view points are represented and explored.
* Oversee and collaborate on and various projects as assigned that are cross-functional in nature.
* Oversee the activities of one or more project managers, analysts, and/or administrator. Coaches other team members on the project management process and best practices.
* Performs other duties as assigned.Additional Responsibilities:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in  Public Health, Health Administration or related field
Preferred: Master's Degree in Public Health, Health Administration or related field
Candidate Experience: Required 5 years of experience in Healthcare or Health Insurance Industry
Required 3 years of experience in Direct project management managing projects from start to finish as primary responsibility
Required 1 year of experience in people leadership
Preferred Other Thorough understanding of current trends and strategies in healthcare
Licenses and Certifications: Preferred Project Management
