Medical Assistant/Front Office Receptionist
$12-14 an hour with structured bonus
Job Type: Full Time, Part-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Weekends and Holidays
We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated and enthusiastic medical assistant/front office receptionist. As a medical assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to physicians and patients through a variety of tasks to ensure operation of an efficient office. We will provide on the job training, but you must have good communication skills. Salary will be based on experience and performance.
REQUIREMENTS / PREFERENCES
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross).
• Completion of one of the following:
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program with a valid MA school, or
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• 1 or more years preferred of relevant back office, clinical experience required for those without an accredited Medical Assistant diploma
• Bilingual Fluent English / Spanish is a plus.
Clinical and Administrative Duties:
• Administer medications, administer immunizations, EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services under the direction and supervision of a physician. Assist in simple office and minor surgical procedures. Perform basic testing of COVID 19, Strep, Flu, Urinalysis and more. Assist with the education of the patient and/or family as directed by the physician.
• Perform venipucture under the direction of a physician.
• Contact patients as needed to give testing results instructions from the physician and scheduling of necessary visits.
• Answer telephone inquiries and triage calls. Perform various lab functions as needed.

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our staff safe we will provide all necessary PPE and will be using a structured patient intake process to limit the number of patients in our facility at any given time. UV lights and HEPA filters also have been installed in the facility.
