DACCO Behavioral Health, Inc. is searching for a Court Liaison to advocate for patients and provide initial counseling to those involved in the court system due to drug use and/or mental health issues. This is an exciting opportunity located in Tampa, FL, with some local travel required. The ideal candidate will have familiarity with Behavioral Health, the Court System, and a desire to make a difference in our community!

Position Description:
As a Court Liaison, you will advocate for patient rights and concerns before, during, and after court proceedings and will act as an evaluator for potential patients that are court-ordered into treatment. You will provide case management input while negotiating with court personnel, caseworkers, and other outside department entities. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing recommendations of evaluated patients to include diagnosis, level of care, and appropriateness of agency placement. You will also provide counseling, therapy, and/or psychotherapy to patients and provide therapeutic crisis intervention. Finally, you will be required to do intakes when patients are admitted and will be held accountable for submitting required reports in a timely manner.
This is a full-time opportunity, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.
Position Requirements:

• Familiarity with community resources
• Knowledge of 65D-30
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work well with a team and individually
• All personnel are required to undergo a mandatory post-employment offer criminal background check
Required Experience:
• One year related experience in a Behavioral Health Setting
• Experience with the Court System is strongly preferred
Required Education:
• Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field
• Bilingual-Spanish preferred
