Job Summary Directs the Cancer Center departmental activities and resources to ensure alignment with the organization#s mission, directives, and goals. Directs Cancer Center operations, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and daily activities. # Job Responsibilities Develops Cancer Center department goals and objectives consistent with the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC), American College of Radiology (ACR) standards of care, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system. Manages and evaluates cancer center operations, including patient care delivery, information technology, service level determination, and complaint management to achieve performance and quality control objectives. Prepares departmental budget and ensures that the cancer center operates within allocated funds. Coordinates and directs internal and externally-driven audits. Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, corrective actions, and continued education. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Pharmacy required upon hire OR Bachelor#s degree or higher in Radiation Therapy required upon hire AND Master#s degree or higher in related field required upon hire A combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree. A minimum of 5 years# relevant experience required ROC and RT(T) - Radiation Operator Certification in the state of Kentucky and Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiation Therapy required upon hire OR RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire OR R.Ph. - Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire OR Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
