Position : Paving Operator
Location : Owensboro, KY
Summary:
Yager Materials is currently seeking applicants for operator position in our asphalt paving division. This position is responsible for safe and efficient operation of equipment (paver, roller, skid steer, etc.) Other duties can be assigned per management as needed (flagging, shoveling, raking, housekeeping, etc.). Preferred candidates to have prior operating experience within the paving industry and working knowledge of all aspects of paving.
General Responsibilities/Requirements:
• Able to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as heat, cold, humidity.
• Previous equipment operating experience (paver, roller) preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL preferred).
• Ensure safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
• Preform pre-shift inspection of equipment.
• Able to work flexible hours including weekends/overtime/nights.
• Willing to preform labor duties from time to time per management.
• Follow directions of supervisor as to daily task and expectations for each specific project/jobsite.
• Willing to train and cross train coworkers as requested
