Job Summary:
Owensboro Community and Technical College is hiring a full-time Philosophy Instructor in the Humanities and Fine Arts Department. Primary teaching assignments will include a variety of courses in the study of philosophy such as Introduction to Philosophy, Logic, Ethics, Medical Ethics, Business Ethics, Philosophy in Pop Culture, History of Philosophy, Animal & Environmental Ethics, and specialize interest areas. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs.
Duties:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The duties/responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
• Teaching undergraduate courses.
• Provide academic advising and career-related counseling for students.
• Participation in professional development activities.
• Participation in internal and external service activities.
Assignments may include some evening, weekend, online, hybrid, and/or off-campus courses. Candidates must possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, working with a diverse population, and the community and technical college mission.
