Soltek Pacific Construction has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual, prefers a challenge and is a team player for the position of Quality Control and Quality Assurance of the project at San Nicholas Island, CA. This project is off the mainland in the channel island near Ventura, CA.
The project is scheduled to complete March 2021 and could extend out further into 2021 or 2022.
The position will entail the following;
Quality Control Manager
Quality Control Manager (QCM) and Assurance Manager (QAM): Oversee compliance of approved materials, assist with US Navy and project engineer with subcontractor pre-construction meetings, oversee testing, observation, and documentation associated with Building Enclosure Commissioning. Conduct the initial building start-up and assist with scheduling coordination visits from owner/IOR. Candidates should have a high level of coordination/technical communication skills.
Administration
Procure and maintain all subcontractor daily reports submitted to the Owner. Assist the Project Superintendent with site safety, safety orientation, establish and maintain records for review by owner and OSHA.
Project Coordination Drawings: Assemble Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Sprinkler, schedule prebuild coordination meetings to run clash detection and clarify conflict design issues. Candidate to have a working understanding of NAVISWORKS, ACAD, Revit is preferred.
Mock-ups: Coordinate the assembly of the design designated mock-ups for assemblies that are included in the construction set up and establish water tests, SMACNA, ASTM analysis.
Specified Requirements: An individual with a minimum of 10 years of combined experience in the following positions: Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on similar size and type construction contracts which included the major trades that are part of this Contract. The individual must have at least two years’ experience as a QC Manager with construction management certification with the Corps of Engineers or the U.S. Navy Certifier. The individual must be familiar with the requirements of
EM 385-1-1, and have experience in the areas of hazard identification,
safety compliance, and sustainability.

Salary: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
