This is an entry level position training to become a point of customer contact for custody transfer gas volumes, gas quality and gas measurement requirements at all receipts, deliveries and company used measurement points. Incumbent ensures accurate timely gas measurement data by monitoring gas measurement activities and communicating with internal and external customers resolving any gas measurement issues.
Primary responsibilities include (but not limited to:
• Interpret basic electronic flow measurement exception reports and analyze flow measurement data ensuring accuracy in volume calculation and customer invoicing
• Responsible for understanding basic gas measurement terminology associated with electronic flow measurement
• Review electronic flow measurement events and alarms by identifying basic equipment and operational problems assuring accurate volume calculations
• Analyze basic electronic flow measurement gas quality data and make appropriate modifications when necessary
• Notify field personnel of suspected measurement problems and ensure problem resolution
• Attend training in computer applications and measurement topics as needed
• Build technical understanding of gas measurement and transportation business to assist customers and field personnel
• Acquire and validate measurement information from customer companies for third party audits
• Solve missing third-party volumes and monitor and report on gas quality
• Send out and track standard audit packages to customers
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum:
• Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience
• Entry-level to 3 years’ experience
• Good math and analytical skills Proficiency in written and oral communication skills, Microsoft Office, and other computer applications
• Ability to prioritize and complete assigned duties on time
• Performs effectively as a team member interacting with other team members when appropriate and the ability to work independently as an understanding of the systems and processes is gained
Preferred:
• Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, Access, Power BI, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Knowledge of SSCGP Commercial business processes and systems, including its FERC Gas Tariff or other natural gas company tariff
• Knowledge of Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 18
Other requirements:
• Valid driver’s license and insurability
• Reliable attendance, scheduling flexibility when job demands require
• Ability to work positively and effectively prioritize in a high-stress, demanding environment
• Ability to compile, research, and analyze technical information
