MATERIALS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST II - CRITICAL CARE UNIT Non-Clinical Support Hours: 7a-3p Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-71 - 40372C
Job Summary Monitors, stocks, and transports supplies and or equipment for the assigned area(s) within the organization. # Job Responsibilities May work with the surgical team leaders to monitor and adjust surgical supplies and/or instrumentation par levels. Monitors and maintains stock levels. Identifies, removes, and disposes of defective or expired items. Ensures timely delivery of supplies and equipment as needed and requested. Investigates and troubleshoots any inventory issues/problems. Transfers and credits stock to department/facilities through the loan/borrow system. Uses Lawson system to maintain inventory information important to ordering. May conduct cycle counts to ensure inventories are correct. May prepare case carts with surgical supplies for scheduled and emergent needs. Maintains and organizes office information appropriately including but not limited to backorders, outdates, rep sheets, etc. Maintains consignment inventory and orders (contact with representatives). Places orders using Lawson system to replenish stock. Assists in training staff. Fills in other job responsibilities for absent staff. May develop training tools with department educators. May assist healthcare system staff with all supply and instrumentation issues. May oversee lost charges in Omni cells (Endo, Pacu, Surgery Prep-Recovery). May conduct daily Censitrac audits. May oversee bi-yearly inventory counts. May transport surgical items to Sterile Processing and maintain records. May be responsible to keep up with equipment preventative maintenance. Qualifications High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hire A minimum of 2 years# relevant experience required No licensure/certification/registration required Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under general supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Applies more advanced skills and knowledge in the area of specialization.
