Summary
Manager of NA Blood Group Genotyping Business plays a key role in the Grifols NA Sales Organization with the full responsibility of Managing the NA Blood Group Genotyping Business for Laboratory Services and Kit Product sales. The role requires managerial competency, business acumen, market development, team leadership and achievement of subject matter expertise.
Primary Responsibilities for Role
• Manage the growth of the BGG Laboratory Services and Products to achieve organizational revenue and market share goals.
• Ownership of business and market development activities.
• Lead strategic and tactical business plans to include management of current customers, new sales opportunities, competition, market environment, market insights, forecasting and planning.
• Lead and execute efficient, quality customer sales and on boarding processes.
• Follow legal, compliance and regulatory guidelines and practices.
• Provide guidance and support for product management maintenance.
• Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to external customers and partners.
• Provide subject matter expertise to IH Sales, IDN Managers, National Accounts, and the Grifols organization to ensure success in achieving annual and long-term goals.
• Develop and maintain “core” scientific, clinical and business knowledge of competitive services, products, technology and key elements of testing and hospital reimbursement.
• Learn and effectively communicate value-based health care and its impact on various stakeholders.
• Learn and understand how information technology interfaces with customers to support value-based health care.
• Demonstrate and maintain competency of “core” knowledge related to immunohematology, transfusion medicine and relevant fields using company training, approved marketing tools and self-directed learning.
• Represent Grifols products and services at key major tradeshow and conferences
Additional Responsibilities
• Management of Customer Sales, Implementation and On-boarding
• Overall execution of business and market development
• Scheduling, participation and execution of customer business reviews
• Providing elite customer satisfaction
• Maintaining timely, accurate communication within the organization including Salesforce
• Corporate training will be completed on time
• Understand Laboratory Operations procedures and work collaboratively with the team to provide a superior customer experience
• Forecasting, demand planning that impact Inventory Control & Management
• Accurate and timely management of Travel and Expense budgets
• Product management, Marketing, Product/Service investment and process support
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Proven ability to sell both services and products in both the current matrixed health care environment.
• Proven history of successful sales with call points including; health care practioners, supply chain, laboratory managers, supply chain, hospital executives
• Demonstrated ability to close new customers and effectively on board them to meet business goals and objectives.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, results driven, assertive and customer focused.
• Proven ability to manage without direct authority
• Excellent organizational, record keeping, and time management skills required.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications, Salesforce and Miller Heiman
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Self-motivated and self-directed, with strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively.
Education
Minimum requirement: Four-year bachelor’s degree
Experience
5 years of Sales, Business and/or Market Development in Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory Services and Products.
Experience in Oncology, Transfusion Medicine with a science degree or SBB certification preferred.
Experience in working in FDA and/or CLIA regulated environments preferred.
Equivalency
Depending on the area of assignment, directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements. Example: If a job level requires a Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of experience, an equivalency could include 8 years of experience, an Associate’s degree with 6 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of experience.
Occupational Demands
• Position will be based in the field with up to 65% travel required. Candidate must have ability to travel outside assigned geographic area. As needed, will cover additional geographic regions to facilitate significant requirement to meet business and customer needs.
• Work hours are flexible, not conforming to a standard 40-hour workweek. Overtime will be required.
• Candidates will work from a home office.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. as an essential function of the role (lifting of equipment for installation and preventative maintenance.)
